block diagram control label display

Solved!
Go to solution

Hopefully this has an easy solution.

I inherited some code that has different formats for the control labels as they are displayed on the block diagram.

Some have rectangles around the label, others do not.

I am sure that there is a straight-forward (albeit tedious) way to make them all the same.

I realize that this is aesthetic only, but I prefer code to be consistent.

I don't really care which way they are (although new controls have the rectangles, so rectangles is probably better).

Does anyone know how to adjust this property?

Also, why would one display be chosen over the other.  I assume that it is just personal preference.

Thanks

I was in the same situation.  I prefer the no border around the labels.  I think in 8.5 they added a propery in the options menu so you can choose if you want hte border or not.  The property is "Use transparent name labels" under the block diagram tab.  To change existing labels you can use the paintbrush tool with T selected for the color (if you want the no border look).
