block diagram displays blank, though it is not.

Solved!

I've just installed everything on a fairly old laptop. LabVIEW 2009 SP1.

I was given code by a collegue at work. When I open the diagram, it appears to be completely blank (even the navigation window) but the VI Heirarchy is populated, so I know the code is there. I had someone else open the file just to be sure and it's fine on their computer.

Anyone ever deal with this or have any suggestions what to check first?

Is it possible that the diagram coordinates are outside a certain range?

have a look at this post.

Also, could it be that the code is covered by a white decoration?

Thanks for the suggestions, but the real sticker is that the VI opens fine for basically everyone else.

I'll try to drop a screenshot on here after I'm done repairing the install (currently at 3.5 hours!)

Repairing LabVIEW did not solve the problem. Here is a screenshot, not the scroll bars and that I've turned on the grid to look for any decorations. I've blotted out all project identifying information.

That's the wrong screenshot, but I was able to get it working either way. Video driver, fresh copy of the file and a reboot. May have been the file, may have been the driver.
