Hi,

1.Make sure under the boot options you have selected USB. Also

2. In the BIOS of PXI , under LabVIEW RT go to boot configuration, change the option to Windows/other OS. Then try what you are doing.

let me know if this works for you

You can first go through this knowledge base article http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/652BF52EA9D53813862572EB005B0F60?OpenDocument

I'm using 2010 labview RT and this is seriously trying my patience.

Firstly, every time the system loses power, it forgets the IP address. If I can even get the USB utility to work, the network reset doesn't result in it finding the correct address.

So, the only solution to the problem is to use the utility to reformat the machine and go through the whole install process every time the system loses power. What compounds this problem (already enough to make me want to turf the machine down a flight of stairs), is that the machine won't boot to the bloody USB device. I've fixed the order in both the bios and the boot order, trying different combinations of USB-FDD and USB-HDD but nothing works consistently. In fact, despite having to do this twice, I have no idea how I managed to pull it off either time.

Does anyone have any suggestions for this rage inducing behaviour?

Regards,

Alex
