booting real time desktop pc

Hi,

I am trying to install the ETS RTOS on the desktop PC. I created USB utility drive from MAX for LabView 8.2. I am using NI PCI 8232 ethernet card.I formatted the hard-disk using the USB.

When I try to boot the PC using RTOS hard-disk, it reboots again and again. I tried to evaluate the system but it gives the following error

        system error kernel.446610 : LFS Error : Not a DOS disk: pc_dskinit

It does not even boot in the safe mode. What could be the possible problem?

I checked the two links. As per one of the posts, I formatted the hard disk using partition magic and made the c drive active. But still the problem persists.

If I run the PC evaluator utility then atfer giving the message ".....found 1 device" the system reboots.

I checked the system configurations as per the given document. It seems that everying is fine. I have pentium 4 processor with 512 MB RAM. PCI BIOS is found. HDD is formatted using FAT32. Power rails are supported by motherboard.

But the problem still exists. When I try to evaluate my PC with USB utility, without giving any error, after loading ethernet drivers and finding ethernet device, the system reboots. Als, if I try to boot from the USB, the system says "program not found" and reboots.

LabVIEW Real-Time requires that the BIOS include the PCI BIOS interface funtion set. Whether the BIOS includes PCI BIOS support is generally not specified on data sheets and may be difficult to determine. If the PCI BIOS interface function set is not present in the BIOS, LabVIEW Real-Time will not be able to access PCI devices and will generally display an error that it failed to find and configure a network adapter. An example motherboard which does not include PCI BIOS support is the Intel® D915GEV.

When I evaluate the PC, the system displays the message " PCI BIOS Found". Doesn't this mean that the motherboard supports PCI BIOS?
