Hello all,
I'm working in LabVIEW 2017 (17.0.1f3) with a new cDAQ-9185 with a single NI-9213 (thermocouple module) and am trying to setup a simple VI to read the 16 channels... I have a similar system functioning with three TC modules without issue.
MAX sees the chassis and the module without issue... and I can read a TC in the test panel in MAX. However, when I run the VI, my values never change and when I hit the Stop button I get a popup window that says "The devices in your task cannot be synchronized. This may be because there are no available synchronization mechanisms between the devices."
Now with my other system that is virtually identical... just two more 9213's, I have not done any synchronization so I don't know why this would be an issue now.
I have checked the firmware version on the chassis and it seems to be in order... Version 17.1.0f5, If I hit the "Find Firmware on ni.com" button it just takes me to a page that says the firmware version is 19.1.0, and if I down load that and run it I get to open the NI Package Installer, but it just tells me "No operation to be performed". If I go back to MAX and hit the Update Firmware button, there is no cfg or bin files in the file location it goes to.
I'm at a bit of a loss here... can someone point me in the right direction?
Much appreciated!
Chad

Well... after a restart of LabVIEW it seems to have worked it self out. Thanks anyway! 🙂 When in doubt, reboot!
