cDAQ not running with executable/installer

Hi chuggins.

Like Wayne said, I'd recommend you to test the panels from MAX to see if you can get voltage readings from there.

Also, could you post your entire project?

Regards.

Just to verify, I should be seeing the hardware twice in MAX on the target comuter under the Devices and Interfaces folder.. once for it just seeing it when I ran MAX and once for the configuration I loaded from my installer?  Should the configuration report show all of the channels I'm using?

...and to test in MAX, I'm assuming we're talking about making a Task and pointing it to one of the channels that I know I should be getting a voltage signal to?

You're exporting the MAX configuration that you created for your DAQ Assistant right?

In that case you have to make sure that the device is exactly the same and assign the configuration to the device. You should not be seeing it twice. Here's a link about exporting configurations, hope it helps you troubleshoot: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/A8C7C36B567DA00C8625754500026747?OpenDocument

To test in MAX just go to your device and click on "Test Panels", try to read from there.

Again, it would help me a lot if you post your full project so I can see exactly where the issue is.

Aldo, what's missing from the project file, if I may ask?   I looked in it and all of the VI's appear to be attached.  I've never sent one out before so forgive my ignorance if I'm doing it wrong.  Thanks.  C

All, Ok, I ran MAX on the target computer and ran Test Panels... I can get it to give me correct data on one configuration(the "as found" config), but not the other(the loaded config).  I do have the modules renamed so that may be part of the problem.  Would the solution just to rename them in the loaded configuration to match the "as found" configuration?

Thanks guys!  The help is much appreciated!

The .lvproj file is just a text file that defines the VI's that make up the project.

It doesn't actually contain any VI's.  They are separate files.

AH!  Thank you Ravens Fan!   Aldo, I'll bundle all the VI's up and send them your way!

Thanks!

Aldo,

Do you have the PID & Fuzzylogic tool box?
