cRIO-9024 and 9014 Windows 10 Compatibility

Dear All,

I'm having trouble setting up a cRIO-9024 and a CRIO-9014 (not at the same time) with the latest versions of Labview and Windows 10.  I have tried using Labview 18, and have just tried version 19, but without success.  Both compact RIOs work fine on an Labview 16 on a windows 7 PC. Does anyone know if these version of cRIO are compatible with the latest versions of Labview and Win 10?

I'm using MAX to try and troubleshoot the issues. I can see both cRIO's listed in Remote Systems, sometimes they connect fine, other times they show inconsistent IP settings - I have added a static IP on a second network card, with a mask applied as per the instructions in the troubleshooting guide. the only way to remove this is to remove and re-add the cRIO.

Then when I try and use the add/remove software option in order to update the cRIO to RT18.0 or 19.0 I get an error message of "command is not supported by given protocol" and am also unable to view the current software set on the cRIO.

I have attached a serial log of the boot up which shows it's running RT 16.0, and firmware 2.1.2f0 - which is pretty old, however I can't seem to find a later version of firmware.

I have also tried formatting and booting into safe mode, and that usually gets me stuck in safe mode with the same problem, or sometimes a message in the putty console saying that the version of RT is too old to update.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Josh,

Have you installed the driver "NI CompactRIO" (download e.g. here http://www.ni.com/download/compactrio-device-drivers-january-2019/7833/en/) as well? The linked version is 18.5, according to its readme it supports LabVIEW 2015 SP1, 2016, 2017 SP1 and 2018 SP1. And both your cRIOs.

Hello Ikaiser

Thanks for the link to the cRio drivers, I have tried a slightly different version to this without success. Have now also just tried this set of drivers, again with no joy.

It is however encouraging to know that both cRIOs are supported, so I guess I will keep plodding away with trying to uninstall / reinstall the drivers... I can't think what else it might be.

Thanks

Josh
