calling all labview help gurus Help with reference to VI inorder to build a special tool

Hey guys i work a lot with graphs and charts and I get tired of always right clicking on them setting all of the properties on each individual chart or graph so I am writing A tool that will help me in this aspect. I have 90% of this completed what I need help with is getting the reference to the correct front panel. I have done this with all vi's in memory and it works good if the vi is the last on the list. This vi should be able to be in edit mode or running. To clarify more I am going to add this tool to the tools menu so that when I open my tool it should get the reference to the vi from which it was opened. I will appreciate all of the help I can get.

Just to let everyone know since nobody answered I figured out how to do it.

Here is a little VI threw together real fast just to see if it could be done. Please have a look at it and give me some feedback.

WARNING BLOCK DIAGRAM IS REALLY MESSY.
