can i stop a timer in between

hello,

i have  a situatino where i have to monitor the time elapsed for an application but in one specific condition(say a switch toggle) i have to stop the timer and then resume the timing when the condition aborts.

how do i achieve that??

Here is an Elapsed Time VI (LV 8.0) which I use in projects which require a Pause/Resume capability. The while loop in this demo VI may be the state machine while loop in your main program. This VI can be modified to meet your exact needs.
