I have a subvi in my main program, and I have been able to double click on the subvi and open it, but I can't anymore. I even went to the file explorer and open it from the source, but still can't. At the end, I can't even open the subvi from anywhere. Can anyone help? I think that goes away if I restart labview.

It is not clear what you mean by "open". What exactly happens if it does not open?
Could it be the diagram got removed?

This has happened to me a few times. The vi is in memory but LabVIEW wont let you see it's front panel or block diagram.
I've had to shut down LabVIEW (or at least the project the vi was in) and re-open it, then you can access the vi again.

Hi jyang, this is Paul from Applications Engineering at NI
As altenbach said, could you clarify what you mean by "open"? Is the link to the NI broken? Can you just not open the front panel?
Have you tried restarting LabVIEW or your computer?
Have you moved this subVI (in this case it should be grayed out to indicate the link is broken)?
Have you tried replacing this subVI on your block diagram using Function Palette>Select Vi... ?
Let us know.
Paul

What I meant was I tried to double click on a subvi in my main vi to get the front panel/block diagram of the subvi to open, but nothing opens when I double click the subvi. If I close everything and restart my vi, the problem disappear. After some troubleshooting, I realized that it could be something dumb. That problem could be due to the fact that I remote desktop from a computer with a single monitor to a computer with dual screen. This is just a guess though.

I'm pretty sure it's a LabVIEW bug. I haven't had the time to track down exactly what the steps are to reproduce it.
I do have dual monitors, but I don't remote desktop in.
I've seen it about half a dozen times (on my PC and a colleague's).

This is a bug and has been beaten to death in this thread. (CAR: 234040)

I think it is different than the problem in the previous thread. The problem that I am seeing doesn't show an error message. When I double click the vi, it just doesn't open. No error message.

It is the same issue. Read down the thread a little fruther. The error can manifest itself in a couple of different ways depending on how you try to open the front panel.
When you double click on the VI, the panel fails to open with no dialog.
When you right click on the VI from the project window and tell it to open, you get the dialog box.
