LabVIEW 7.1 has been installed and used on one of the PCs at my place of employment since before I had arrived.
A few months ago, some problems arose with the data acquisition system we were running.
Later it was found that it was a hardware problem, but in the process of troubleshooting, the LabVIEW software went awry.
One of the suggestions NI tech support initially gave was to install DAQ-mx 9.
After installing the new DAQ-mx, opening a vi file in LabVIEW causes a search for non-existent subVI files from the \vi.lib\DAQmx subdirectory:
DAQmx create task.vi
DAQmx create virtual channel.vi
DAQmx create channel (DO digital output).vi
DAQmx start task.vi
DAQmx write.vi
DAQmx write (digital 1D Bool NChan 1samp 1line).vi
DAQmx stop task.vi
DAQmx control task.vi
Efforts were made to locate these files manually however they simply aren’t anywhere.
LabVIEW doesn’t operate properly without these files.
Despite completely uninstalling LabVIEW 7 as well as DAQ mx 9, and subsequently reinstalling LabVIEW 7.1 and DAQ mx 7.1, the search for these unlocateable files by LabVIEW persists every time an attempt to open a vi file is made.
I would appreciate advice on fixing this problem.
Thank you.
