case structure do nothing?

is there anyway i can make a case structure wait until the case is through before sending data through the nodes i.e if data >0 perform calulation, if data <0 wait until case is true

Put your calculation inside the true case and leave the FALSE case empty. Now place everything inside a while loop containing also a small wait. There is also the event structure. The best sulution depends on the details of the application...

For a more specific answer, please attach a simplified version of your VI. Many things are not clear, e.g:

1. Where is the data coming from? (DAQ, front panel control, result of a calculation, etc.).
2. What kind of "nodes" are you talking about?
3. How familiar are you with dataflow programming?
