change/ scale shared variable programatically

hi!

 

well, i am creating lot of shared variables using labview, but my question is, have i got  any item or something to scale them or, change the properties of the shared variables i created??

 

for example, rate max/min, color.....

 

 

have you got any idea?

so there is no way to attach a litte description to a shared variable?? i can't do it??

well I obtain the way of writting a description to a shared variable in labview, but this descrption dissapear when i read this shared variable in signal express! so what must i do? can someone give me some tips to obtain the final result!?
