Heres a quick example. I edited the VI so it may be used as a sub-vi.

It should do the trick.

I didnt have anything that could give me a temperature reading so I just used a numeric control named 'Temperature'.

Replace this with however you are reading in temperature values.

That's not much of a conversion. Smiley Wink

A better solution: Use an XControl. There's a shipping example that does exactly this so you can just use it directly in your code. Open the Example Finder and do a search for "XControl".

OK, what have you tried so far? Did you take a look at the temperature XControl that ships with LabVIEW? It seems to me that it will do what you want. All that you would need to do is copy it to your project's directory structure. Cory's solution only goes one way, and for some reason includes Kelvin. What if you want to go back to degC?

Hi tomsch,

Use this link (NI Developer Zone Tutorial:  Creating New Front Panel Objects with LabVIEW XControls) or refer to the LabVIEW help file for using XControls.
