changing cluster elements to a more specific class

I have a array of 10 control references, obtained from taking the controls [] property of a cluster called mycontrols.  I also have a cluster of individual control references that are already specifically classed from the original control - mycontrolsrefs.  Is there a way to take this  array of 10 control references obtained from teh controls property and make them more specific by using the cluster of individual control refs (mycontrolsrefs) that have been specifically classed without unpacking the thing and running each control thru a "to more specific class" function?

Glad to hear that it works.  Please mark this threads as solved.  (This is good forum practice.)

Actually, that was a pretty good trick! Looking at the original post my mind wasn't going in that direction at all.  I'll remember
