communicating using camx protocol

I am working on an application that needs to communicate to some equipment using IPC CAMX. I am not familure with this protocol AT ALL! From my limited understanding of CamX, it is an XML formatted protocol.
Has anyone every communicated to a machine using CamX? Any information or examples that you can provide would help me alot!!

The equipment I need to communicate with is used to make surface mount PC boards. The manufacturers are Cyberoptics, Universal, and Dek. However, any CAMX examples would help!

If you're needing an easy way to send and receive XML, consider the EasyXML toolkit.  I haven't used the CAMX (Computer Aided Manufacturing using XML) protocol, but if you need a little help getting EasyXML working for your application, I'd be happy to give you some pointers.  We've helped a couple customers who were using XML to communicate with instruments over serial links.

Joe, I'd be happy to help you with CAMX issues. We've been involved with the CAMX standards since the beginning. Just let me know. Andy
