concurrent executables labview 7.1 and 2009

Does anyone know if there are any issues running two different applications simultaneously that are built from different LabView Versions?

Specifically, I have an app that was built using 7.1 and I want to run a new app on the same PC, at the same time, that was built with 2009.

Just install both runtime engines and you should be OK.

Do the programs use any hardware? (e.g. DAQ)

The 7.1 app uses firewire and serial port, the 2009 uses a different serial port.

Didn't thinnk there should be a problem, just wanted to hear if anyone has already encountered any.
