configure labview serial driver

I have a device that comes with serial lab view driver. The seller in the in the context file wrote: Initialization and closing of serial port is not included. Initialize as follows: termination char:8 .time out :500,baut rate:38400,data bits 8 , parity none, stop bits 1, flow control none,Please how configure this settings?

Your ZIp file is corrupted.  More than likely, you are supposed to use the VISA VIs for Serial to open the connection (VISA Configure Serial Port) and close the connection (VISA Close)

Thanks for the reply.

I have attached a new file .I hope this time is not damaged. I tried to configure these port settings but the settings cannot be saved. ????

What settings are you talking about and in what file? One of the basic things you should understand about LabVIEW is that changes to front panel controls is not automtically saved with a VI. To change the defaults, you have to go to the Edit menua and select 'Make Current Values Default' and then save the VI.

p.s. The subVI called FC50 Driver 1.0 will not work and was obviously written by someone who was an inexperienced programmer. The use of the local variables to update the returned 'Output Cluster', is just plain wrong. It's what is known as a race condition. Any relationship between data shown in the cluster with the actual results will be purely coincedental.
