Sorry, I was looking at the picture posted, did not notice the author 🙂

The FPL is more advanced instrument with many more features. The driver is different:

Wow!  I don't know who Rohde-Schwarz is, but @MM (Milo) has been very helpful and responsive to this Topic on the LabVIEW Forums.  Their Web site says "our customers can expect extensive after-sales support, including training, free technical ..." -- extremely impressive!

Another Test & Measurement company, much like Keysight, but a lot fewer products.  Where I once worked, the "lab mom" swore by R&S.  I have only directly used their signal generator, but we recently used a noise analyzer that all but saved a project (once the right engineer figured out the device).  It was impressive enough that we are considering using it to replace at least 2 peices of equipment if we ever get to revise the rack I put together.

I've not had a chance to use their equipment, but I hear NOTHING but excellent reviews.

We were using Rohde and Schwarz back in my earliest test and measurement days in the early 80's - way before my LabVIEW development days (when Rocky Mountain BASIC was king).  They are HARDLY a newcomer to the RF instrumentation world.
