The external device is started or stopped by calculating the values from continuos analog acquisition. For example: I want to start a stimulator if the input is achieved 10% of its maxmimum. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are capable of continuous acquisition with processing in the loop, you should be able to throw a threshold check in there and trigger your other process. A state machine would work well for that. If you have not worked with state machines in LabVIEW, contact an Alliance Member with LabVIEW expertise. We do this stuff every day.
