I would like to know how many samples
were acquired by a 4472 DSA board
between two TTL ticks issued by a
GPS clocking.
Preferably using a PCI DSA via RTSI lines
instead of an already existing PXI solution
(please send me the URL for this ?PXI solution).
The customer has already PCs with normal PCI
Backplane.
I understand that one can retrieve the HF clock of the delta sigma
via the RTSI (safe?)
Data from the DSA are streamed to a hard disk at
several locations. One could use a counter (PCI equivalent of 6608) to
count the number of samples between GPS ticks so that
one can post-synchronize the file recordings within 10 msec
over a long period of dacq at different far apart locations.
Any idea about a solution?

PS. 4472 are very nice for thei
r analog front-end but
rather limited for counters. A small mix with E-series features
would be a plus.
