cpu load while moving an array of arrows over a background image

Hi,

I visualize dataflows by an array of arrows which moves over the front-panel. My problem is, that the cpu load goes up to 100% if I add the system-overview as picture in the background. The added vi (LV8) demonstrates this. If the image is visible, my cpu-load is about 95%, when the picture is not visible, the load is about 5%.

Any ideas how to solve this? (I definitely need a picture as background).

Thanks in advance,

Hi Magnus,

This behaviour is "normal", when I run the VI without the picture the cpu-load is at 3%, when the picture is visible at 21%!

I would suggest to use the picture control functions instead of manipulating the position of arrays would bring a better performance.
