crash LV2013 ?

Solved!
Go to solution

Oddly enough I used to hate autotool for many years!

Now I can't seem to get along without it.

The only thing that changed is I got used to it (autotool) because of the degeration of my wrist and hands from tendonitis.

[...] The crash occurs when you are not using the autotool [...]

I'd never have found it, then!  But... that's a rather clever way of encouraging people to use the autotool.

Yes, having to use the auto tool may mean no LV2013 for me until it is fixed.  It drives me crazy.

Hello everyone,

An update on this issue - there will be a LabVIEW 2013 f1 patch released towards the end of this month which will address a couple of CARs, including this crash. More information will be released when the patch goes out, and a LabVIEW Product Support Engineer will update this thread with links to the relevant information at that time. I just wanted to give an update that we do know about this and we are addressing it. I apologize to anyone who is running into this issue. The workaround for now is to use the autotool when editing comments.

Thanks,

There is a LabVIEW 2013 f1 patch available for download here that fixes a number of CARs including this crash with the auto tool selection turned off. There is more information on the fixes in the patch available here. The patch will also be available through NI Update Service soon.

Thanks,
