create color template

I am trying to create a color template in the template editor, but when I open the color image that I want to make the template of, it imports it in black and white.

 Could you explain a little more your problem and if it is possible attach some screenshots or file in order to understand better your problem, because if I am not mistaken you are referring to the Icon editor of LabVIEW.

I would like to have a color template for pattern matching.But using template editor i can't get a color image.Is there any way to get a color template?.

I am doing pattern matching in vision builder.so for the template image i am sending the required image to be compared with the acquired image through ftp from labview.but since i need a color template template editor doesnt work.Is there any other option to compare an image with the acquired image.
