Hi Austin,
As per my knowledge, of course you can import an image for using it as an icon. The only constrain is you must have a .ico file for using as an image icon.

You could also simply copy the image and paste it direcly into the Icon Editor.

The issue with importing a picture directly is the size of the picture since an icon is usually 16X16, 32X32 or 48X48. If you copy directly you will only see a portion of your picture. An easy run around is to use a free converter you can download from the web to convert your pictures to icon. Personally I use EasyPicture2Icon. You can then modify the result with the icon editor.

I was working under the assumption that the OP had a PNG of an image of the appropriate size, such as the plethora of icons that you can find on sites like gettyicons.com, iconarchive.com, or openiconlibrary.sourceforge.net, and not a visage like this: http://wall.alphacoders.com/big.php?i=140520&w=2560&h=1600

Use IcoFX to make the icon. It's free and can create larger icons. Then, point LV to the .ico file you created.
