creating controls form scratch??

I have a labview program which is working ok, but the controls available are not visually what i'm looking for - perhaps a stupid question, but is there any way to create a control from scratch (i've tried editing an existing one in labview, but i only seem to be abe to change the sizes of the control's components) and/or is there perhaps any downloadable controls??

    There have been a number of threads on this forum discussing customizing controls. In fact a recent one discussed how to change the look of a control with scalable graphics that could be drawn in Microsoft's Word or Power Point. This one I just whipped up was originally the OK boolean, and I created the random shape using "Star Office 7's" answer to Power Point. Star Office is the open source package, replaced by OpenOffice.You can download it for free from OpenOffice.org if you don't have Power Point.
