daqmx worked for months, now doesn't.

active light comes on briefly then goes off, ready light stays on, meaurement explorer shows all modules with red 'x'.  Any way to reset this or is it broken?  This system has been working for months.

See whether you can replace the cable that you have been using with a new one.

We thought about the cable but the modules in the cDAQ-9172 were not being seen at all and the active light was still going out whether the cable was plugged in or not. While checking around for a spare USB cable we found a spare unit in another department and tried it.  It worked fine with the original cable.  We will be send the non-working unit back for repair.

After your note yesterday I contacted our rep and he gave me a support number to call.  I will do so today.  Again, thank you very much for responding so quickly and hopefully we will be up and running again soon.  Have a great day!
