I haven't used the obsolete driver since 6.1 so ib don't remember the functions. What is the 30 wired to both?

You should know enough about sampling theory to know your acquisition frequency should be at least twice the input frequency and preferably at least 10 times. I think you are missing this basic step.

in the AI, 30 in conected to the # of samples and the sample rate, and in the AO its connected to the update rate.

Then change the sample rate of the analog in per Nyquist.

You might also try using 20 S/s for the output instead of 30. As I noted 30 S/s only works on some devices on some days if you hold your mouth just right. Otherwise you can get funky results. 20 S/s is pretty much gauranteed.
