Hi Paul,
you and me know that sequence&locals aren't needed here - but what about weitong and others?
They only see your snippet of code and think: "Hey, it's ok to use locals and frames and, well, it works!" Then they stick to this kind of programming and begin to wonder when first race conditions appear... I just don't want to encourage beginners (?) to use bad coding style.
