Hi my name is Juan and I am currently working with the data dashboard with android device. I followed the tutorial on NI's website on how to use data dashboard.
http://www.ni.com/white-paper/13757/en/
After some research I had to start a web service. Once I did that I was able to connect to my computer. However I am still getting a "No supported variables" error when I created a variable and deployed it. So I am at a lose here. Not sure what it could be. Any help would be great. I have included some pics of what I have done so far and a copy of the error.

Dear jrod03
I think Data Dashboard is laborious to check the source of problem.
Have you checked this reference ?
Community: Troubleshooting and Support | Data Dashboard for LabVIEW
https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-19388
And there is same thread.
Data Dashboard Showing "no supported variable..." - NI Discussion Forums

Good Luck !!

ok yeah thanks for the help. The only thing on that list that I did not try was disabling the firewall on my computer and now i think it is working. At least now I am getting a variable and seeing the basic graph from my program.
Thanks for the help.

So I was finally able to get my hands on a ipad first gen and I am unable to get a connection to my shared variables. I was able to do it with android and I put the correct ipaddress in. Is there something different that I have to do to connect to my shared variable? I am getting an error " Connection Error Invalid Server: Cannont connect to Server. Check the address and wireless connection and try again." This is the error i get with the ipad.
I was able to get it to work on a wireless network at my home and at school. But now I am at my dads house and not able to get it to work on apple or android. My shared variables are no longer visable. On the android device it gives me no supported variables.
I am not sure what is going on. could it be a problem the network?
Thanks for the help
Juan

Is the shared variable server on the same subnet or do they have public (not private) IP addresses?
