delete controls from block diagram in LV2009?

Solved!

FYI:

I did NOT add that token to my 2009 ini.

FP objects WILL delete from the BD.

Hi Darren,

here's my ini-file. I added the last line to enable deleting/copying after starting this thread...

Before that I only added "RegisterExtensions=False" as LV8.6 is still my "production" environment.

Yes, it was a fresh&clean install of LV2009 with no changes to the INI other than written above. And no, deleting/copying didn't work after install...

I really have no idea.  If you remove your INI file completely and relaunch LabVIEW 2009, are you able to delete front panel control terminals from the diagram?  If not, then I'm out of suggestions.

Hi Darren,

I just checked that: after "deleting" my INI (well: renaming) LabView allowed to delete controls from block diagram by default...

Now rerenamed my INI to get my previous settings back as deleting also works with setting the appropriate key. Don't know what happened while installation (or shortly after), as this "bug"/"bad behaviour" annoyed me from the beginning...

One more test and even better: now deleting also works without that INI key!

Well, that saved my day - going home now (it's 10PM here...).

Best regards,
GerdW

I thought I had a similar experience earlier this week when I thought another config option was deleted (it wasn't, Thanks Darren).

Those of with the longer wires spools behind us can be easily disturbed if something we use get moved or deleted.

Just a note to everyone. The Token was written incorrectly. I have submitted a change to the KnowledgeBase article, but the actual token is "copyDeleteFPDCOFromFPTerm" (the DC was in the wrong order)
