After upgrading to LabView 8.6, and trying to build an executable's installer, I get a message that the "NI LabVIEW Deployable Licnese 8.6" is unavailable, and forcing me to load the LabVIEW DVD.
I'm pretty sure that under 8.5, this was loaded on my PC (or I had the option somewhere to keep a copy on the PC), but I can't find this option under 8.6. Does this mean that I need to pull the LabVIEW DVD out every time I want to make an installer This also would mean that I've got to take the DVD with me if I intend to create an installer using my laptop when I travel.
I guess my question is -- how can I get the Deployable License 8.6 loaded on my computer so that I don't need the DVD every time I want to make an Installer?

Hi,
There are a few things that could be happening here. If you are not licensed through a volume license agreement, start by ensuring the License Server is started before you attempt to build an executable. You can do this by opening the NI License Manager in the National Instruments program group. Also ensure that the following option is selected in the NI License Manager Preferences.
This will ensure that the license file is started every time you start your computer. If this doesn't fix the problem, could you post back with a screenings of the exact error you receive? This would help pin down the exact issue. And finally, are you using any remote front panels in the executable you are creating? This may account for the need to insert the DVD.
