Hmm no,  i meant that you need to install the device drivers software for the DAQ examples to show up.

In other words If u have put a PCI DAQ card in your system and not installed the device drivers, then ur PC will not recognise the DAQ card.

If u have installed Drivers and insert ur DAQ card and when u power on the system, the drivers for that particular DAQ device will be automatically initialised.

So just trying installing two NI DAQ device driver CD's that come with your DAQ card.Once you have successfully done this, the labview examples for DAQmx will also show up.

Hi hi,

My daqcard is daqcard-Al-16XE-50 I think not compatible with LV 7.1. Is there any other way I can get those examples from DAQmx?? Pls advise, your help is needed desperately..

Your card is compatible with traditional DAQ only - not DAQmx. In Measurment & Automation Explorer (MAX), expand the software listing and verify traditional DAQ is installed. If it is, your device should be listed there. The traditional DAQ functions can be found on the NI Measurements>Data Acquisition palette. In the example finder, open Hardware Input and Output>Traditonal DAQ.
