disabling a control with the setting of another

Is there a way to disable a control with the setting of another control. I have 3 controls but only two pieces of information are needed. I want to grey out one of the othe two based on the setting of the middle one. I just want to make it clear to the user that that piece of information will not get used.

Thanks

Right-click on the terminal of your control and select Create>>Property node.
Click where it says Visible (the list of properties) and select "Enabled State".
Right click on it and select "change to write". When you wire 0 into it it'll be enabled, 1 disabled and 2 disabled and grayed (which is the one you want). Just remeber to wire 0 when you're finished.

In particular I am trying to grey out a Numeric Indicator. When I click for the list of properties I do not find Enabled State as an option. It is an option when I go to the properties of the object, but not one listed there. I am using LV 7.1. Disabled and Vivisble are there but I don't really want to make it disappear and disabled does not really show taht anything has changed. Is this correct or is there something I am missing.

Thanks Again

It's the 'Disabled' property that tst meant and that you want as per attached jpg.
