do we have backward compatabilty in lab view 8.0

Hi,

I want to know is there any backward compatabilty in lab view 8.0. Can we open an application developed in version 8.0 with 7.1 and execute in 7.1.

Hi Sharmash!

Unfortunately you can't open a 8.0 application in 7.1. What you can do is use "save for previous version". You can only save for the most recent previous version, but I believe this would be 7.1 if you're using 8.0 (might be wrong there). Otherwise you need the version inbetween installed as well and repeat this operation within that version.
