documentation of required NI software components

My Project Plan documentation includes sections Development System - Required Software and Target System - Required Software.  It's a fairly simple project using hardware, 4-slot Chassis, 8176 Controller, 6052E IO Card and 4472 DAQ card.

So far it reads:

Development System - Required Software:

Windows2000 SP3 or above.  Windows XP. - Microsoft

LabVIEW run-time engine 8.2. - National Instruments

LabVIEW Full Development System 8.2 - National Instruments

LabVIEW Application Builder 8.2 - National Instruments

NI-DAQ Version TBD ? - National Instruments

Target System - Required Software:

Software Minimum Requirements:

Windows2000 SP3 or above.  Windows XP. - Microsoft

LabVIEW run-time engine 8.2. - National Instruments

Company process requires a document that would allow a relatively new user of NI hardware and LabVIEW to fully recreate either development or target system exactly.  The hardware section is easy as I have a clear picture of all the individual parts in my head.  When it comes to the software I imagine many software components in MAX, and I'm unsure exactly which ones are actually being used, or the name of the source from where they came, or what versions are actually required, and if the newest version would always be the best bet, or what versions of what are inoperable.

On a recent project using a CompactRIO controller, I found this page showing what software versions were required for a specific piece of hardware,

ftp://ftp.ni.com/pub/devzone/tut/crio_software_versions.htm#controllers  I was using a cRIO-9012, this page showed I required min NI-RIO 2.1.0 and LabVIEW RealTime Module 8.2.0.  However, it did not show I needed LabVIEW 8.2 Full Development System and LabVIEW Application Builder 8.2.  In practice, in MAX there was actually about 5 or 6 components installed to cRIO, although I don't think I actually needed them all.

My question is, how do I find the information required to complete the above tables ?  and how do I properly capture the version of NI-DAQ, NI-VISA etc  I figure I should repeat this for 8176-Controller, 6052E IO Card and 4472 DAQ card.

The best is to get the versions in which you have developed/tested. These can be found in MAX under Software, if it is possible provide a link to the NI ftp download URL.
Then export the settings in MAX (for tasks/scales) if you use them and provide a simple app that loads these items into MAX.
For RIO I'm not totally sure but I would create 'Getting started' that outlines what settings (IP/DNS etc.) to get the user started.
