docx document generation without MS Office

Solved!

aputman is right, I finally tracked down the same file.

I was pretty sure our production machines didn't have Office on them, but maybe you don't need it once you're running an .exe?  Not sure.

Sorry for misleading you.

BTW, Viewpoint has released an add-on tool for LabVIEW for creating docx files without Word installed.

Microsoft has opened the docx format and there are libraries shipped with windows to do low level manipulation of the files.  we have created a high level LabVIEW API for many common use cases of docx manipulation. We created the tool primarily because we needed it for some of our own projects.

the version available is for LabVIEW 2014 or above.  you can use the 30 day evaluation to give it a try.  no runtime fees, just cost per developer station.  we have an excel version in the works as well.
