downshifting a VI from Vista to XP

Hey there, I haven't used LabView in a long time, and someone I did a job for, over a year ago, asked me if I'm able to convert a VI I programmed for them in Vista, down to winXP compatibility.  They would like to swap out the computer they are using for their test stand, to an older model.  I was just wondering if you could direct me to instructions regarding this.  I still have the software.

Thanks

VIs should not be OS specific. Do both machines have the same LabVIEW version?

Awesome, thanks.  I guess I just need to install the Labview Drivers on the new PC, and remove them from the old one?

Thanks

Hi madrooster7,

Yes, as long as you have the appropriate drivers (NI-DAQmx, NI-VISA, etc.) and driver versions on the new PC, you shouldn't have any issues moving from Vista to XP. As altenbach said in his post, the VIs themselves should not be OS specific.

Thank you for choosing National Instruments.
