dual monitor video card in my PC (DVI and VGA)

I have a dual monitor video card in my PC (DVI and VGA).  I am running a Main vi on the VGA monitor and need to open a sub vi on the DVI monitor only while the Main runs on the VGA monitor.  I am running LV 8.2.  How do I do that?

By setting the FP Location explicitedly or by configuring the FP settings to open on a specific display.

The first is available as long as VI server property nodes exist the second probably only since LabVIEW 8.5 or 8.6.

You have an application property that returns an array of display records, one record per display and the according coordinates of each display in a global absolute coordinate system. There you can so how many displays you have if there are more than one and also the actual coordinates.

Then you can determine what coordinates you want to set the FP.Position (and possible FP.Size) properties.
