encoder spec for counting pulse USB 6008

Hi,

In my current project I want to count the number of revolutions of a disc. We are using a optical sensor for this purpose and the output is 0v and 5v. 

I tried to using the counter in MAX and also tried the count digital events.vi example, looked at other similar forums.

When I run the example, I dont' get any error but the counter output is zero only...

looks like problem is with the input..I connected the signal to analog i/p and I can see the pulses.. I dont understand why I can't get the counter to count the edges..Is there any other i/p siganl spec that i'm missing?

Hi palkin,

 check the connection sproperly..where you have connected the optical sensor to the USB 6008.
