error 1311 occurs during install of NIDAQ 6.9.3

I downloaded NIDAQ 6.9.3 from the NI download site, and followed the directions for installing. Unfortunately, every time I attempted to run the setup.exe, I got an error 1311 "cant find file daqlv61eng.cab".
I downloaded a second time from the NI site the Nidaq693.exe file and started the entire process a second time. However the error 1311 occrued again.
I read in another post that this can happen sometimes from a cd file being copied to a hard drive, but I saw no posts for my particular problem occuring with an Internet download.
I currently have NIDAQ 6.9.2 installed, and I am installing 6.9.3 to see if it eliminates an error I get when I run my VI:
"10401 AI group Config. NI-DAQ LV device is not a NI driver, or d
evice not cinfigured."
I went to devices in measurement and automation explorer and I can see the board there, PCI-MIO-16E-4. I have uninstalled the board several times, and reinstalled and hit F5 in max, but this did not help. Appreciate any help.

ok I can answer the first part of my question. I did not run LV61Eng.EXE and that is why I was getting the error 1311.

Hef,

Open MAX and find your card in the Devices and Interfaces folder. If you right-click and choose properties, then click "test resources" in the properties page, does your device pass the test? If so, then it is properly installed and the error you are getting is most likely caused in software.

If your device passes the test, then try to run one of the LabVIEW shipping examples using your card. Something simple, like "Acquire 1 Point from 1 Channel.vi" If you don't get the error with this example, then the error is a result of your program.

Yes when I run test resources, the device does pass the test. What you are saying then is confusing,(that the software vi is defective) because this software is currently working fine on a different PC running windows 95 with excel 97. The new PC that I have this problem on only is running windows 2000 and office 2000.

Hef,

Perhaps the VI has been modified on the new PC. Let's just try an example VI. What does the VI you are using do? If it uses analog input then try an analog input shipping example. If it uses analog output, then try an analog output shipping example. If you don't get the error with the example, then the error is a result of your program.

Additionally, you may want to run the E-Series Online Diagnostic Utility on your board to determine if it is functioning properly. This online utility just takes a few minutes to run and will generate a report after checking your hardware.
