error 2147221164

Hi, thanks for the help.

I tried setups #1,3 and 4 and all do not work.

I do not have another language for test #2.

Perhaps the location of the class registry is expected by LV in a certain place and Windows 7 has put it in a different location?

Nicholas

Great, so we have some good progress now.  It definitely seems like a problem with Windows 7, and not the version of LabVIEW or version of Matlab.  The next thing to check is if you can use the Automation open to use any ActiveX functions at all or if the problem is specific to Matlab.  Try using activeX to control something else in your computer such as Word or Excel.  If this works, then the problem seems to be with Matlab, and you'd probably get better help by speaking with MathWorks support or forums.  If the Word or Excel functions do not work either, then the problem is probably a deeper Windows 7 issue, or LabVIEW ActiveX issue.
