excel to labview on 2 different computer

Hi,

I'm running PI system in Computer A and Labview on Computer B.

I've send data from PI system into Excel Spread sheet in Computer A.

Now I would like to send data from Excel Spread sheet in Computer A to Labview on Computer B. Can anyone help me and guide me on how to go about doing this. I'm a newbie in Labview. Am using Labview 2011. My data are all real time data so there are be a large number of data to send.

How are you doing the transfer right now? What is the physical connection? What protocol? Do you have an Ethernet connection to both?

Currently I'm looking into using MatrikonOPC to send data from excel sheet in Computer A to labview in Computer B

Someone mention to me using Network-Published Shared Variable to make connection between the two computer but currently I've no idea how to go about building this connection between the two computer. 

Are you able to advise me on this?

Now what I have is I'm able to send random data into MatrikonOPC explorer but will need a lot of tags in order to do so if I have a lot of data. 

secondly, if my labview is in the same computer as my exel sheet, I've the diagram in labview to display the data from the excel.

I don't understand your setup. Why would you want to read from excel instead of reading directly from the instrument? What exactly is this PI?

PI system enable me to get my data from the Wind turbine and its possible to send data from PI to Labview directly but by using PIOPC. So my school have tight budget on this so another alternative is I'm using MatrikonOPC which is a free server. So I'm sending it over to excel first then matrikonopc then to labview.

So you are not trying to interface to a piece of hardware? This PI System is a program? Sorry, but I don't have the time right now to read a 300 page manual on software I've never heard of, let alone used. If you decide to connect the hardware to LabVIEW, post back with the hardware details.

Ya PI system is a program. No hardware involve. But since I have the data list out in excel spread sheet already so I will be using the data in excel spread sheet to send over to labview. 

Currently, now, I just want to send data in excel spread sheet over to labview in another computer. Is there any method to do this?
