exe not running

Hi all,

I notice that when I send my exe to people who only have the run time engine, the exe will not run properly.  The exe requires the serial com.  To fix the problem, I have to install MAX on that machine.  Why do I have to do that?  Is it not true that running an exe only requires the run time engine?

You also need the VISA driver when you are woriking with Serial communication.

Make sure that when you make a exe file, also to make an installer that includes all driver that your program needs,

If your application uses any of the VISA functions then you need to include the NI-VISA Run-Time Engine in your installer.
