execute excel macro

Hey all,

I have a third party excel file with a built-in macro that is executed by the user clicking on a 'Process' button.  I would like to change the current procedure of the user manually entering some data and clicking on the 'Process' button to be all automated.

My question is how can I make it so that LabVIEW executes the built-in macro?  Unfortunately, I don't have access to the macro code so I need LabVIEW to 'simulate,' for lack of a better word, the clicking of the 'Process' button.

thanks,
Quintin

Quintin,

There are actually a couple of online examples that illustrate how to call an Excel macro from LabVIEW. Also, we now sell an add-on toolkit for LabVIEW called the Report Generation Toolkit for Microsoft Office, which gives you expanded interoperability with both Microsoft Word and Excel, including some special macro functions. To find out more about this toolkit, which is now included in LabVIEW Professional, you can check it out here.

Kind Regards,
