What kind of problems are you having with closing OpenCV's GUI window? I see a lot of information and some proposed solutions, but I'm not sure what exactly the problems and symptoms are. Or maybe you were just thinking out loud...but a description of the problem might clarify the situation some.

Were you able to get a OpenCV cvloadimage pointer to allow LV to recieve that image into a picture control?
