faster driver for TDS 2014 driver

Hi all,

I want to capture real time waveform from a Tektronix TDS 2014 oscilloscope. I tried 'tktds1k2k' driver and the others found in Labview's 'Search Instrument Drivers' function. Unfortunately they all show very slow response. The waveform is updated only once a second. Any suggestion to make the capturing really 'real time'?

Labview version: 8.20
Connection: GPIB-USB-HS
Thanks!

You might be able to improve on the 1 second update rate. It would help if you post the program you've written. However, you are never going to get 'real-time' with GPIB. It's not so much a limitation of the driver as a limitation of GPIB. You've got a max transfer rate of 1MB/sec with GPIB and in practice, it's much less than that. The instrument and interface ared not designed to simultaneously capture and transfer. If you really continuous monitoring in 'real-time', you would be better off using a pc based scope card. Otherwise, as I mentioned earlier, post an example of your code to see where it might be optimized.
