fonts in chinese/japanese --- HELP!!!!!

OK team have buggered something on my labview. Whatever I did when I change a font my english is replaced with what looks like chinese (or maybe japanese text). When I press Ctrl-O I get up what font settings I want but again the preview displays these other characters. Any ideas how to revert back to plain old alaphabet

I'm trying to recreate what you've got on your screen.

What text items are affected?- just control labels on your front/block panel or the actual LabVIEW environment?

What fonts have you been trying to select via Ctrl-0? If you select "Arial" what do you see in the preview box?

If you go to Tools>Options>select "Fonts" from the scroll menu, do you have the "Use default font" item checked?

I think I may have mananged to implement a similar situaton to yours and remedy it.

Try clicking the "Custom font" item, choose "Application font*", Click on "Font style..." button and choose "Application" as your font setting, size 13, plain.Click "OK".

Then choose "Dialog font*" and "System font*" in turn and check the "Custom font" item, then in "Font style..." choose "Dialog" as the font, size 13, plain and click "OK". Repeat the same font settings for "System font*".

In order to implement these settings you need to then completely shut LabVIEW down and restart LabVIEW.
