fp-ai-100 unstable readings in all their channels

The module FP-AI-100 it took working some months and it enter in fault. The readings of all their channels began to oscillate. After changing the module for one new, the problem was solved. However, it probable that this problem can repeat. This module is used for the control of steam and speed in a Papel Mill.Which the most probable cause in this problem is?

A similar situation I experienced is that I had a faulty sensor that was set to provide 0-10V output but was providing 4-20mA. On the FP-AI-100 side, the channel was set up as voltage input for this channel but by putting a current input into this channel it offset all the other channels into unrepeatable values. So I hope this may provide some insight if it happens again and you know that the module is working fine!
