front panel not maximized

During programming & debug, almost every time I want to switch to the front panel and run the program, I need to maximize the front panel. It's not minimized, but not fully filling the screen. Why doesn't it STAY maximized when I maximize it? It doesn't matter if I toggle with alt-tab or click the front panel tab.

Potentially related to your other question?

Not related I think, because this was happening long before the switch to front panel.

That is pretty strange behavior.  I assume from your other post that this is occurring LabVIEW 8.6 as well.  If you go to VI Properties, what settings do your VIs have for Window Appearance?  Did you ever try a repair or re-install of LabVIEW?

Maybe you have some code that changes your window state?

Here is a screenshot of my window appearance property. Do you see anything that would cause my problem? And no, to the other poster, I have no code that changes window appearance.

I was looking to see if you had your Window Appearance set to a Dialog VI but I should have also had you look at the Window Run-Time Position and Window Size categories under VI Properties.  These areas are where settings could really have an effect on the front panel.  What do you have set in these categories?

Also, just to get a little better background on when your issue is occurring, do you have to maximize the window every time you switch to the front panel or is it related to running the VI?

Unfortunately, I am not able to reproduce the behavior in LabVIEW 8.6.1 or 2009.  With those settings, no matter what size I set the front panel to, it will stay that size until I run it.  When I run it, the front panel maximizes and when I stop the VI, it goes back to the previous window size.

Is this something that is limited to a specific VI or is it happening with all?
